Welcome to GLAD Masters Swim club
Who We Are
GLAD -- Green Lake Aqua Ducks -- is a member of both the national master swimmers organization -- United States Masters Swimmers (USMS) -- and the regional Pacific Northwest Association of Master Swimmers (PNA).
GLAD has been an active club for motivated adult swimmers since 1989. In keeping with the tenets of masters swimming, GLAD is open to swimmers with a wide range of abilities although workouts are intended to be challenging with the goal of building endurance and pace, as well as improving stroke technique. Lanes are arranged according to speed to the extent possible. Lane placement is determined by our coach in consultation with each swimmer.
Members of GLAD participate in various PNA swim meets during the year, particularly the annual PNA Champs event which is typically held in April at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Click here for the PNA calendar.
In addition to keeping current with GLAD dues or paying the drop-in fee (see below for details), all those in the pool for our workouts must be current members of USMS.

When you need swimming gear, click here or on the logo to the left. You'll be taken to a special SwimOutlet website where you can shop around for the new suits, paddles, fins, pull buoys, etc., that you need. The great thing is that a percentage of anything you buy via that site will go to GLAD! You'll get aqua gear and GLAD gets a little bonus, too. Is that a great idea or what??? Try it!
Consider Making A Tax-Deductible Donation to GLAD
Monthly dues from team members and drop-in fees don't cover all of our costs. GLAD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as defined by the IRS which means your donation is eligible as a tax deduction. Donations are directed towards “needs” based reduced rate for swimmers requesting a discount.
You can make all the arrangements with Arni Litt, GLAD's treasurer, by clicking here. Thank you very much for considering supporting GLAD!!
